I have: tan/medium skin tone; sensitive underarms with hyper pigmentation due to shaving, epilating, and a fungal infection I had as a teen which left my underarms a few shades darker than my normal skin tone
Started using it 18 Aug 2020
I decided to try this because: good price, natural ingredients, saw terrible reviews for bleaching products that burned/darkened underarms further, was going to try hydroquinone 2% but it's usually expensive and aimed a face hyper pigmentation .
So far I've been using it every single day for about a month, and I do see the lighter patches of hyper pigmentation resemble my normal skin tone, and the stubborn darker patches of hyper pigmentation get a little lighter. As a deodorant, it's a an easy "passive" way to frequently and consistently lighten your underarms with natural ingredients, versus having to make an "underarm mask" and do that maybe weekly. As for its efficacy as a deodorant, it's effective at masking odors with a light clean scent, but after a long 12 hour shift at work or a sweaty work out, if I do a sniff test, I can smell little odor, so I use a light swipe of natural (non lightening) deodorant over it. It's a small 100mL bottle with a pump but a little goes a long way at coating your underarms and will last you a long time. I am pleased with the results so far and will continue to use it; I'm excited to see the results in a few months.
Of note, what is also helpful for me is: exfoliating my underarms frequently, using natural deodorants, not staying in sweaty clothes long, and I also got a Groupon for a deal for underarm hair laser removal, so I can stop shaving/epilating and irritating/darkening. the skin.
Hope this helps!
